Tantamunay Healing House
Tantamunay Healing house is a beautiful sacred space, nestled in the mountains of the Scared Valley of the Incas in which we offer affordable accommodation, preparation support, integration support and dieta food to those who are preparing for a Sacred Journey with Plant Medicine or needing a space to quietly integrate their Ayahuasca experience or Plant Medicine Journey.
Tantamunay Healing house is held as a Medicine space and so is only open to those who are journeying with sacred plant medicines here in the sacred valley. As there is often a need for a transition space with other beings who understand that you are on a deeply personal, spiritual and transformational journey and for that agreement to be understood by all who are sharing in the community space.
Following a Plant Medicine Journey, there is often a need for a quiet space to continue the deep work in nature once and continue to integrate once you have left the ceremonial space held sacred by the Shamans and facilitation team. Here at Tantamunay Healing House we offer you a space in which you can continue your integration journey with others who are also doing the same.
Rachel Tantamunay is trained as a Somatic Plant Medicine Integration practitioner and is also a student of the Shipibo Ayahuasca Medicine Lineage, so individual trauma informed, integration sessions are available on request which are held in the Maloca here at Tantamunay Healing House.
Every soul has a unique healing journey when healing with sacred plant medicines, at Tantamunay Healing House we make space for your journey.
For some you may simply need a space in which you can continue your own integration journey, following a Plant Medicine Journey.
For others you may call for support with your post dieta care and have specific dietary requirements following a Master Plant Dieta or have been guided by your Shaman to eat in a specific way for a period of time following your Ayahuasca experience.
For some, you may need more support after your Ayahuasca ceremony or Plant Medicine journey and that is also welcomed.
At Tantamunay Healing house we invite you to stay as long or as little as you feel to, the guidance as to what you need in support of your preparation or integration for your Plant Medicine Journey is always guided by you.
This is what we can offer you
- Clean, comfortable, affordable accommodation in the sacred valley of the Incas where all who reside in the space are also preparing for a plant medicine ceremony or integrating their healing spiritual work following a sacred plant medicine experience.
- Post dieta care: We can organise that all of your dietary requirements post dieta, or post Master Plant Dieta are met so that you can continue to receive this layer of support whilst integrating your plant medicine journey.
- Individual Trauma Informed Somatic Plant Medicine Integration sessions to support you to integrate your plant medicine experience.
- Andean Shamanism experience, we can organise and support time with an Andean Shaman from the Q’ero lineage to learn more about and heal with Andean Shamanism and attend Andean Ceremonies, as we work closely with Q’ero Maestro Nicolas
- We can also help organize trips to sacred sites such as Naupa Inglesia or Machu Picchu on request with local English speaking trusted guides who we have known for many years.
- If you are arriving to Peru then we offer a taxi service with a driver we have known for 8 years to collect you from Cusco airport or return you to Cusco Airport
- We can also offer you a tour of Urubamba to orientate you to the local market and the local produce and share knowledge and wisdom about the superfoods of Peru
- We can arrange a sacred plant walk for you with a local Andean Shaman so that you can learn about the Medicinal Plants and their uses upon the Apu’s (sacred mountain spirts) of the Peruvian Andes,

Somatic Plant Medicine Integration
Rachel Tantamunay has been a student of the Medicine Ayahuasca for 7 years and apprentices under Maestro Hernan Fernadez Romaina, a Shipibo Healer with 30 years of experience.
In her journey Rachel has been an Ayahuasca Facilitator and coordinator at 2 Shipibo Led and Owned Ayahuasca Retreat Centres one of which she helped build and during this part of her journey she has prepared hundreds of people to sit with Ayahuasca, in Shipibo Ayahuasca Retreat Centres in the Peruvian Amazon and accompanied them on their journey in the jungle as a facilitator and supporting in the Integration circles, following their Ayahuasca Ceremony.
Rachel has also trained with Aya Healing retreats as a Trauma Informed Somatic Plant Medicine Integration Practitioner and is honoured to be of service to your Ayahuasca or Plant medicine Integration journey.

Tantamunay Healing House is a sacred space that respects the Plant Agreements needed by all who are journeying with Sacred Plant Medicines. As such we have community agreements to be able to stay with us.

I came to Rachel’s home through perfect serendipity perfectly in keeping with the vortex-like sacred space she holds. Deeply committed to her own spiritual journey she nevertheless offers a boundless generosity and love to all who find their way to her little temple. If you are on a medicine journey here in the Sacred Valley and need somewhere to decompress and integrate, or you simply need some time away from the tourist hordes this is the spot. It’s simple but comfortable and Rachel makes herself available for whatever kind of healing you need whether it’s to share your story, compare notes on the way or be left alone to your own process. Respectful and open and loving her place is a home away from home, an oasis in the nightsea, or just a lovely spot in a real neighborhood with a couple of affectionate dogs, one little indigo child, a curious cat, and a medicine woman who’s walked a challenging road but with a huge heart to show for it.

When I think of you, I am always accompanied by a sense of gratitude for your presence in my life during difficult moments. Somehow, it happened that when I needed help while at the retreat, you appeared out of nowhere. How, after having this experience, can I not to believe in miracles?:)
Rachael, I was thinking about the fact that to not interfere with the world’s creation of miracles, it takes nothing but admitting my powerlessness in it.
When I was able to admit that there are things stronger than me, they became obvious to me. After all, that’s what a miracle looks like, doesn’t it? I am writing to you, and on a physical level, I feel very warm feelings for you! I am grateful that I had such an opportunity to meet you. Thank you for being there for me when it was emotionally hard and scary. It is so important to have a warm, caring, internally strong, sincere person by my side at such moments. And you were that person next to me, and I am glad it was you.

Rachel is love, wisdom, compassion, and healing in human form. When I was the most broken I’ve ever felt in my entire life, she helped me put myself back together. Her presence alone is medicine. I’m forever grateful for having met her when I needed her the most. I didn’t even know her when I arrived at her home in Urubamba yet she welcomed me like family. I felt like I came home to my own mother when I really needed support and someone to listen and understand what I was going through. She helped me find my strength again and recover when I felt so devastated. Words really can’t describe the gratitude and love I feel in my heart for how Rachel helped me.
